Cryptozoic Entertainment today announced the November 29 release of Epic Spell Wars of the Battle Wizards: Melee at Murdershroom Marsh. In the third card game in the popular Epic Spell Wars series, 2-6 players once again create Spells with up to three Components—this time with new keywords “Cantrip,” “Bad Trip,” and “Everlasting”—as they try to destroy opposing Wizards. Every aspect of the game, from the cards to the rulebook and box, is filled with the series’s trademark off-the-wall humor and mature, at times bizarre art (over 100 original illustrations).

Cryptozoic Entertainment and Warner Bros. Consumer Products, on behalf of DC Entertainment, today announced the November 29 release of DC Deck-Building Game: Confrontations. In the 2-4 player team vs. team game, each player selects a DC Super Hero (Superman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, or Zatanna) or DC Super-Villain (Lex Luthor, Circe, Ocean Master, or Felix Faust) and joins another player on his or her team for a clash against two opponents. The game uses Cryptozoic’s popular Cerberus Engine, which has players build up their decks with the goal of defeating one of their opponents. The new keyword “Assist” on many cards allows a player to lend some help to his or her teammate.
Cryptozoic Entertainment today announced that it will be showcasing upcoming and newly released games at BGG.CON 2017, November 15-19 in the Hyatt Regency DFW at the Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport. Bringing game players, designers, and publishers together, the annual convention is hosted by BoardGameGeek, the popular and influential website for tabletop gaming. Cryptozoic will be at Booth #209 displaying and demoing several games, including ones based on various DC properties, Cartoon Network shows, and Adult Swim’s Rick and Morty TV series. The game allows 2-4 players to become characters from fan-favorite Cartoon Network shows such as The Powerpuff Girls, Adventure Time, Uncle Grandpa, Cow and Chicken, The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy, and Ed, Edd n Eddy. The game utilizes Cryptozoic’s popular Cerberus Engine, which has players build up their decks with the goal of defeating as many Nemeses as possible. It is a follow-up to the original Cartoon Network Crossover Crisis Deck-Building Game, adding more characters and features, such as the new keyword “Wonder.”

This is the first set for the popular WBTV series to include Autograph Cards signed by Stephen Amell, who stars as Oliver Queen/The Green Arrow. Based on the fourth season of Arrow, it features a 72-card Base Set, three Chase Sets with variants, randomly inserted Sketch, Autograph, Wardrobe, and Prop Cards, and Redemption Cards that can be redeemed for actual props used on the show.

Based on the Season 1 episode of Adult Swim’s hit series Rick and Morty that features a multitude of Ricks and Mortys from different realities, the deck-building game allows 2-5 players to become various versions of Rick as they try to take down the Council of Ricks and Evil Rick. This competitive game utilizes Cryptozoic’s popular Cerberus Engine in new ways, as players use Portal Guns to access the otherworldly Location deck, which includes many of the bizarre places Rick and Morty visit in the fan-favorite TV series.
